Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Gault car dealership is getting bigger.

The company breaks ground on its new showroom.

Let the construction begin for Gault on its new Toyota-Scion building. It'll be at the corner of North and Hayes Streets, just down from the current Toyota building.

The new showroom will be 40,000 square feet and it's designed to be a high-energy efficient building.

100 Gault employees will work in it. The building has been a project two years in the works.

General Manager Connie Gault says they are shooting to get the new Toyota-Scion building up by the end of 2011.

"Once we build this Toyota building, we're going to move into this facility and then we're going to take down the Toyota building we're presently in and build a Volkswagen-Audi building," said Gault, "Then we're going to move the people down in Binghamton here on North Street with the rest of us."

Connie Gault says Gault has 180 full-time employees and about 60 part time employees.

Gault says plans are in the works to renovate the Chevrolet building as well.
