Keystone Associates has experience involving historic buildings including those which are on the National Register of Historic Places. Our expertise in designing to meet Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation is evidenced in our record of accomplishment on some of the area’s historic landmarks such as the Kilmer Building, Phelps Mansion, Goodwill Theatre, and Roberson Museum. We are very well versed with historic rehabilitation and preservation projects. Our historic architectural knowledge equips us with sensitivity and respect for significant architecture, resulting in the successful completion of state and federal historic tax credits for the vast majority of these projects.

Our staff has decades of experience assisting individuals, concerned groups, and non-profit organizations with the preservation of buildings and community character. We have experience in preparing code studies, condition reports, historic structure reports, feasibility studies, preservation reports, National Register submissions, and historic resource surveys.

When we deal with older construction, whether or not it is registered on the National Register, we make every effort to protect and preserve the historic character of the building. We understand the significance of these irreplaceable resources in today’s society and strive to retain the historical integrity of these structures.
